High-end wheels designed for road cycling should be distinguished by quality aluminum or carbon rims, solid hubs with high reliability, and properly selected splicing and type of spokes to ensure adequate rigidity of the whole structure.
Rims can be made of aluminum or more expensive carbon fiber (carbon). The higher the rim, the greater the aerodynamic benefit, but the wheel will become more vulnerable to wind. In the case of aluminum rims, it is recommended to use a rim height up to a maximum of about 35 mm, as a taller rim would be too heavy. The key element in the aluminum wheels we build are the hubs and spokes - the highest grade - identical to those used in carbon fiber wheels.
