Product information

We build Wheels to order – according to the specifications of the selected components in the configurator when placing an order. The process begins with selecting a configurable product based on the rim model. In the configurator, wheelset components are chosen: hubs, spokes, nipples, as well as optionally tires, Tubes, or the preferred tire install method, and also optional accessories such as: valves, cassettes, brake rotors, tapes, and rim tapes. Below, we present commercial information regarding the manufacturers of components from brands available in our configurator.

    A If both bikes use a 5mm QR axle wheel mount system, please select QR standard front and rear axles in the DT Swiss R 470 Classic wheel configurator. The entire setup will then be compatible with your existing mounting system. However, QR 9 or 10 mm is a different axle standard, which can be achieved by replacing the hub endcaps. To confirm the possibility of conversion for your chosen model, please contact us at info@lemonbike.eu and provide your bike's model/specifications.
    2. Hello, I am interested in these wheels (DT Swiss R 470 Classic) and have a few questions. I ride a Cube SL Road bike, mostly in the city, which involves curbs, potholes, light jumps, and occasionally some gravel roads without sparing the equipment, etc. My weight is 100-105 kg + bike. The current tires are the stock ones, i.e., 40-622. The main question is: Will these wheels be sufficient, or should I look for something stronger? If they are suitable, then: 1. Are these Novatec hubs equipped with sealed bearings? 2. What is the difference between Sapim D-Light and Sapim Race spokes, and which should I choose? 3. What is the difference between alloy and brass nipples, and which should I choose? 4. Can an 8s cassette be installed on a Shimano 9/10/11 freehub body?     A The wheels in question are built with a durable 32-spoke lacing pattern, which will meet the stated expectations. Additionally, we recommend choosing a configuration with stronger Sapim Race spokes and brass nipples. Such wheels will be approximately 90 grams heavier but will gain additional durability compared to a lighter configuration with thinner Sapim D-Light spokes and alloy nipples. If the budget allows, regarding hubs, we recommend choosing the DT 370 model (cost +250 PLN compared to Novatec). These hubs feature higher build quality, better bearing seal, and operate based on a reliable ratchet system. The Shimano MTB 9/10/11s freehub body is compatible with Shimano 8s cassettes. This means that an 8s cassette can also be installed on a freehub body that supports 9/10/11s cassettes; only a spacer for the 8s cassette will be required.
